Similar to the $2.5 Liberty coins, the $5 Liberty Gold coins were authorized to be minted by Congress in 1792. It is also the only U.S. coin to be struck in all seven U.S. mints that were operating during its circulation. Several designs were utilized during its history. The date and one star for each of the 13 original colonies encircle Liberty’s portrait.
Each of the coins offered on our site are authenticated by either PCGS or NGC and are housed in their designated slabs.
