The $2.5 Indian Gold coin, also known as a Quarter Eagle, and the $5 Indian Gold coin are different then other designs during their strike period. The Gold Indians are struck incuse, instead of relief which was normal, and these gold coins have no raised rim. The main devices and legends are in sunken relief below the surface of the coin. The designer of this image was Boston sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt.
Each of the coins offered on our site are authenticated by either PCGS or NGC and are housed in their designated slabs.
